I did this painting in 1974 after my second year of college. I met my wife Jane on this trip. Jane worked at Dillman’s resort and lived in a cabin with several other girls. I was on an end of summer fishing trip to northern Wisconsin with my fraternity brother Henry, Jane’s cousin Pat and Henry’s and my younger brothers. Pat suggested we stop in and say hello to Jane. After visiting Jane and her fellow waitresses at Dillman’s we decided to ditch fishing. I did a series of small paintings and gave one to all the girls. Jane got the big painting.
