In June 2004 we set off in mid morning for a day’s sail from Mattapoisett Harbor to Tiverton, Rhode Island. Half way through the trip the wind was at 35 knots and seas were several feet. The wind was on our nose and we tacked 104 miles to make a 40 mile trip, arriving in Tiverton at 1:30 AM. I gave this painting to our daughter, Elizabeth, who got seasick on this trip.
