In 1999 our daughter Katie took her Make-A-Wish trip to the Hawaiian Islands. On this day we paddled kayaks out to this small beach and had lunch overlooking the Princeville harbor. The surf was as big as it looks and it was quite an ordeal getting there and back. The bay is quite shallow and even small waves break steeply. It was a warm and misty day with clouds hanging on the cliffs. Occasionally the sun would peak through.
